Official title: A bill to protect the individual's right to privacy by prohibiting the sale or distribution of certain information.

Provides that whoever, through interstae or foreign commerce or the mails, knowingly sells or distributes, or offers or attempts to sell or distribute a list of names or addresses, or names and addresses, of individuals; information concerning the personal or financial condition or activities of an individual; or information concerning the personal or real property of an individual; without the consent of any individual to whom such list or information relates, shall be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than one year, or both. Enumerates the circumstances under which this Act shall not apply, including: (1) federally authorized distributions; (2) information used only for law enforcement or national security; and (3) telephone directories, in specified instances.
