(LATEST SUMMARY) Provides that the Attorney General may extend the limits of the place of confinement of a prisoner by authorizing him to visit a specifically designated place for a period not to exceed thirty days. Grants an extension of this limit to allow: (1) a visit to a dying relative; (2) attendance at the funeral of a relative; (3) the obtaining of medical services not otherwise available; (4) the contacting of prospective employers; (5) the establishment or reestablishment of family and community ties; or (6) for any other significant correctional reason consistent with the public interest.
