Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Remote Waste Storage Act.
Section 2. Onsite storage in remote areas
Section 3001(d)(6) of the Solid Waste Disposal Act (42 U.S.C. 6921(d)(6)) is amended, in the second sentence, by inserting, or for not more than 2 years if such generator lacks year-round surface transportation access to a treatment, storage, or disposal facility and the accumulation of the hazardous waste is conducted in compliance with all applicable laws (including regulations) before the period at the end.
