Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Economic Relief for Specialty Crops Act.
(a) In general
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, for fiscal year 2027, there is appropriated to the Secretary of Agriculture $5,000,000,000, to remain available until expended, to make payments to producers of a specialty crop (as defined in section 3 of the Specialty Crops Competitiveness Act of 2004 (7 U.S.C. 1621 note; Public Law 108–465)) under the Assistance for Specialty Crop Farmers program of the Department of Agriculture (as announced on February 13, 2026; Release No.: 0031.26) or any substantially similar subsequent assistance program initiated by the Secretary of Agriculture under the authority of the Commodity Credit Corporation Charter Act (15 U.S.C. 714 et seq.).
(b) Terms and conditions
Payments under subsection (a) shall be made in a manner consistent with the terms and conditions specified in the notice entitled Notice; Marketing Assistance for Specialty Crops (90 Fed. Reg. 1434 (January 8, 2025)).
