Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Removing Medicare Mental Health Inpatient Limitations Act of 2026.
(a) In general
Section 1812 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395d) is amended—
(1) in subsection (b)—
(A) in paragraph (1), by adding or at the end;
(B) in paragraph (2), by striking; or at the end and inserting a period; and
(C) by striking paragraph (3); and
(2) in subsection (c), by striking (but shall not be included and all that follows before the period at the end.
(b) Effective Date
The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply to items and services furnished on or after January 1, 2027.
