No Visas for Violent Criminals Act

Section 1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the No Visas for Violent Criminals Act.

(a) In general

Section 237(a)(2) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1227(a)(2)) is amended by adding at the end the following:

(b) Cancellation of visa; removal

If any alien is convicted of a deportable crime described in section 237(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as amended by subsection (a)—

(1) any visa issued to such alien shall immediately be cancelled; and

(2) not later than 60 days after such conviction, such alien shall be removed from the United States.
