RESOLUTION

Prohibiting Members of the House of Representatives from bringing or displaying a flag of a foreign nation on the floor of the House, and for other purposes.

Section 1.

(a) Prohibition.-- (1) In general.--During a session of the House of Representatives, a Member, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner may not bring or display on the floor of the House any flag of a foreign nation. (2) Application.--Except as provided under subsection (b), the prohibition under subsection (a) shall apply to a flag of a foreign nation regardless of the size of the flag. (b) Exception.--The prohibition under subsection (a) shall not apply-- (1) to a flag of a foreign nation worn as a lapel pin by a Member, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner; or (2) to a depiction of a flag of a foreign nation used as part of an exhibit by a Member, Delegate, or Resident Commissioner during a speech or debate under the Rules of the House of Representatives. (c) Enforcement.--The Sergeant-at-Arms of the House of Representatives is charged with the enforcement of the prohibition under subsection (a).
