Section 1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the Federal Lands Lawful Carry Act.

Section 2. Exception to firearm prohibition

Section 930 of title 18, United States Code, is amended—

(1) in subsection (d), by inserting after paragraph (3) the following: For purposes of paragraph (3), the possession of a firearm in any exempted area is possession with a lawful purpose if the individual in possession of the firearm is not otherwise prohibited by law from such possession and such possession is in compliance with the law of the State in which the exempted area is located.; and

(2) in subsection (g), by adding at the end the following:

(4) The term exempted area means any unit or Federal facility that—

(A) is owned or leased by the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Reclamation, the National Forest System, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the National Park System, the National Wildlife Refuge System, the Tennessee Valley Authority, and the United States Army Corps of Engineers; and

(B) is an area open to visitors and invitees to the unit or Federal facility.
