Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Local Data for Better Conservation Act.
Section 2. Listing determinations
Section 4 of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (16 U.S.C. 1533) is amended by adding at the end the following:
(j) State data
In making a determination to list, or delist, a species as a threatened species or an endangered species under this section, the Secretary shall accept and integrate State-collected data.
