Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Hands Off Greenland Act.
Section 2. Prohibition on sending troops
On and after the date of the enactment of this Act, the President may not deploy or otherwise assign any member of the United States Armed Forces for duty to Greenland except in response to an explicit invitation of the Kingdom of Denmark. No Federal funds are authorized to be made available to deploy or otherwise assign such troops on or after such date of enactment, except those deployed at the explicit invitation of the Kingdom of Denmark.
