Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Improving MA SNP Act of 2026.
Section 2. Accreditation of specialized MA plans for special needs individuals
Section 1859(f)(7) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395w–28(f)(7)) is amended—
(1) in the heading, by striking NCQA approved and inserting approved by an accrediting organization;
(2) by inserting, based on standards established by the Secretary, after approved; and
(3) by striking (based on standards established by the Secretary) and inserting or, for 2026 and subsequent years, by any other private accrediting organization with an application approved under section 1852(e)(4)(C) determined appropriate by the Secretary.
