This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to operate Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) as a separate entity within DHS. The functions of HSI remain the same. In addition, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is redesignated as U.S. Immigration Compliance Enforcement.
