Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Rural Health Clinic Location Modernization Act of 2025.
(a) In general
Section 1861(aa)(2) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395x(aa)(2)) is amended, in the first sentence of the matter following subparagraph (K), by striking an urbanized area (as defined by the Bureau of the Census) and inserting an urban area (as defined by the Bureau of the Census) with a population of 50,000 or more.
(b) Effective date
The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply beginning January 1, 2027.
