Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Responding to Exploitation and Sharing of Private Explicit Content and Threats Act or the RESPECT Act.
Section 2. Increased penalties related to intentional disclosure of nonconsensual intimate visual depictions
Section 223(h) of the Communications Act of 1934 (47 U.S.C. 223(h)) is amended—
(1) in paragraph (4)—
(A) in subparagraph (A), by striking 2 years and inserting 5 years; and
(B) in subparagraph (B), by striking 3 years and inserting 10 years; and
(2) in paragraph (6)(B)—
(A) in clause (i), by striking 18 months and inserting 3 years; and
(B) in clause (ii), by striking 30 months and inserting 5 years.
