Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Stormwater Treatment Optimization, Resilience, and Management With Academic Technological Expertise and Research Act or the STORMWATER Act.
(a) Centers of excellence for stormwater control infrastructure technologies
Section 50217(b) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (33 U.S.C. 1302f(b)) is amended—
(1) in paragraph (1)(A), by striking not less than 3, and not more than 5, centers and inserting 5 centers;
(2) in paragraph (4), by striking fiscal years 2022 through 2026 and inserting fiscal years 2027 through 2031;
(3) by redesignating paragraph (4) as paragraph (5); and
(4) by inserting after paragraph (3) the following:
(4) Great Lakes center
Of the centers established under paragraph (1)(A), 1 shall be located in, and focused on, the Great Lakes region.
