Section 12731(f)(2) of title 10, United States Code, is amended—

(1) in subparagraph (A), by striking as a member of the Ready Reserve; and

(2) in subparagraph (B), by adding at the end the following new clause:

(v) Service on active duty described in this subparagraph is also service on active duty as a regular member.

The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply to qualifying service on active duty performed after January 28, 2008.
