Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Extreme Heat Emergency Act of 2024.
Section 2. Definition of major disaster
Section 102(2) of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 5122(2)) is amended by inserting extreme heat, before or drought.
