Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Nutrition Red Tape Reduction Act.
(a) Threshold
Section 11(a)(1)(F) of the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act (42 U.S.C. 1759a(a)(1)(F)) is amended by striking clause (viii) and inserting the following:
(viii) Threshold
For each school year beginning on or after July 1, 2024, the threshold shall be not more than 25 percent.
(b) Applicability
The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply to a local educational agency with respect to a school year beginning on or after July 1, 2024, for which the local educational agency elects to receive special assistance payments under subparagraph (F) of section 11(a)(1) of the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act (42 U.S.C. 1759a(a)(1)).
