Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Transparency in Debt Issuance Act of 2024.
(a) In general
The Assistant Secretary for Financial Markets of the Department of the Treasury shall brief the Committee on Finance and the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs of the Senate on a quarterly basis about the debt issuance of the Department, including a summary of recommendations made by the Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee.
(b) Timing
The briefings required under subsection (a) should coincide with the publication of the quarterly refunding report of the Department of the Treasury.
