H.R. 9714118th CongressHouse Bill

CBO Oversight Act

Reported by CommitteeDead

This bill died when its Congress ended.

Bills don't carry over between Congresses. Without re-introduction in a new session, it cannot advance.

This bill requires the Director of the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) to provide testimony annually at hearings held by the House and Senate Budget Committees. Specifically, at the request of the chair of either committee, the Director must provide testimony at two hearings held by the committee by the end of the calendar year. The hearings may address any issue that the committee deems appropriate, including reviewing the accuracy of the baseline projections and estimates prepared by CBO during the most recently completed fiscal year.
