(a) In general
Not later than December 31, 2024, the Secretary of the Army shall provide to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a briefing on the plans of the Army with respect to the future role and structure of Multi-Domain Task Forces.
(b) Elements
The briefing under subsection (a) shall address—
(1) the benefits of any experimentation conducted with respect to Multi-Domain Task Forces, including any resulting lessons learned that have the potential to be adopted within other organizations of the Army;
(2) operational concepts for using Multi-Domain Task Forces in wartime or other crisis scenarios;
(3) any plans or requirements relating to the use of joint storage facilities for the sustainment of Multi-Domain Task Forces;
(4) an outline of any plans or operational concepts providing for the use the reserve components (including the National Guard) to support Multi-Domain Task Force operations; and
(5) with respect to each Multi-Domain Task Force that is not operational as of the date of the briefing—
(A) a timeline for operationalizing the Task Force; and
(B) an assessment of any impediments that may prevent the Task Force from achieving full operational capability before 2027.
