(a) In general
Not later than February 1, 2025, the Secretary of the Army shall provide to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and the House of Representatives a briefing on the efforts of the Army to field passive multi-static radar detection technology for mobile counter-UAS systems.
(b) Elements
The briefing under subsection (a) shall address—
(1) the plan of the Army to incorporate passive multi-static radar technology into its existing counter-UAS system and base defense architecture;
(2) efforts within the Army to integrate passive multi-static radar technology into integrated counter-UAS systems;
(3) an assessment of any capability gaps in threat detection technology and threat defeat systems; and
(4) any research, development, test, and evaluation activities that are being conduced, or that are planned to be conducted, with respect to passive multi-static radar detection.
(c) Definition
In this section, the term counter-UAS system has the meaning given that term in section 44801 of title 49, United States Code.
