Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Stop Spoonfuls of Fake Sugar Act of 2024.
(a) Adulteration
Section 402 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (21 U.S.C. 342) is amended by adding at the end the following:
(j) If it is food for human consumption and contains high-fructose corn syrup.
(b) Delayed applicability
Section 402(j) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, as added by subsection (a), applies beginning on the date that is 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act.
