Section 1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the Judicial Integrity Act.

(a) Judicial conflicts of interest

Section 208(a) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after of the United States Government, the following: or of the judicial branch of the United States Government, including a Federal judge or a justice of the Supreme Court of the United States,.

(b) Regulatory waiver

Section 208(b) of title 18, United States Code, is amended—

(1) in paragraph (3), by striking or at the end;

(2) in paragraph (4), by striking parties. and inserting parties; or; and

(3) by adding at the end the following:

(5) if, by regulation issued by the Judicial Conference of the United States applicable to all judicial officers and employees covered by this section, with public notice and comment, the financial interest has been exempted from the requirements of subsection (a) as being too remote or too inconsequential to affect the integrity of the services of the Government officers or employees to which such regulation applies.
