To require the Secretary of Homeland Security to promptly comply with State requests for information regarding the citizenship status of an individual.

This Act may be cited as the Voter Eligibility Verification Act of 2024.

Section 642(c) of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (8 U.S.C. 1373(c)) is amended by inserting after shall respond to an inquiry the following, not later than 30 days after receipt of such inquiry,.
