Section 1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the NEXUS Improvement Act.
(a) In general
Not later than 45 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Homeland Security, notwithstanding any other provision of law, shall make available video conferencing for applicants for NEXUS enrollments and renewals.
(b) Clarification
The requirement under subsection (a) shall not affect the authority of the Secretary of Homeland Security to conduct biometric screenings of or collect fingerprints from applicants described in subsection (a).
