National Motor Voter Clarification Act

Section 8(a)(3) of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (52 U.S.C. 20507(a)(3)) is amended—

(1) by striking or at the end of subparagraph (B);

(2) by redesignating subparagraph (C) as subparagraph (D); and

(3) by inserting after subparagraph (B) the following new subparagraph:

(C) by reason of citizenship status; and

Section 8(a)(4) of such Act (52 U.S.C. 20507(a)(4)) is amended—

(1) by striking or at the end of subparagraph (A);

(2) by striking the semicolon at the end of subparagraph (B) and inserting; or; and

(3) by adding at the end the following new subparagraph:

(C) a change in citizenship status;

Section 8(c)(2)(B)(i) of such Act (52 U.S.C. 20507(c)(2)(B)(i)) is amended by striking paragraph (3) (A) or (B) or (4)(A) of subsection (a) and inserting paragraph (3) or (4) of subsection (a).
