Anti-Narcotics Model Community Assistance Demonstration Grant Act of 1988

Anti-Narcotics Model Community Assistance Demonstration Grant Act of 1988 - Authorizes the Director of the Bureau of Justice Assistance to make grants to the police departments of Dade County and of the cities of Miami and Miami Beach, Florida, for the purpose of enforcing State and local laws corresponding to those governing offenses established in the Controlled Substances Act. Enumerates permitted uses of funds, including: (1) the addition of personnel, equipment, and facilities; (2) personnel training; (3) improvement of treatment and rehabilitative counseling to drug dependent persons incarcerated for violating State and local drug laws; and (4) eradication programs. Authorizes the Director to make grants to Dade County, Florida, for programs to prevent illicit drug use and to identify and meet treatment needs of drug dependent offenders. Describes grant application content requirements and review procedures. Requires: (1) grant recipients to submit annual reports of activities; and (2) the Director to submit reports to specified congressional leaders on grant amounts, purposes, and recipients. Directs grant recipients to keep records for Government auditing purposes. Authorizes appropriations.
